Andrew McKeough to Virtually Attend the 59th Presidential Inauguration

WASHINGTON - As per an update received on December 16th from the Joint Congressional Committee on Inauguration Ceremonies (JCCIC). Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris have asked that Americans celebrate this historic event from the safety of their homes.

As part of Inauguration Week Celebrations, Andrew McKeough will join Villanova University BRIDGE Society President and AKSM Media’s Senior Vice President for Government and Political Affairs, Mariana Marquez, and Former President, Ashden Personius, for a virtual networking event on Tuesday, January 19th, 2021 hosted by the University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The panel will begin at 2 PM EST and will be facilitated by adviser Kathryn Szumanski. The panel is a part of Villanova University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences’ Networking Conference.

On Wednesday, January 20th, 2021 - Inauguration Day - Andrew McKeough will join Lauren Brooks and Sarah Kirkpatrick for a private viewing of the day’s ceremonies and events at their private residence on the Philadelphia Main Line. Mr. McKeough will be made available for commentary throughout the day. A statement by Mr. McKeough on the Inauguration of President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris will be made available directly after the swearing-in with a second statement commenting on the day’s events to be released at the end of the evening.

In a written statement from Mr. McKeough, he said, “We are very honored by this invitation to the American public to virtually attend President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris’ Inauguration in January. Though plans are still uncertain as the coronavirus continues to spread, we can all agree that January 20th, 2021 will be a historic and momentous day - full of socially distant - celebration while we start looking ahead to the future.”

More solidified decisions and plans will be released and announced throughout January; some may be announced as late as January 16th as we continue to follow coronavirus precautions.
