The AKSM Award

The AKSM Lifetime Achievement and Service Award - or just AKSM Award for short - is awarded annually to an individual who displays an extreme dedication and service to a specific cause or community. Former awardees include former President Barrack Obama, actress Troian Bellisaro and Villanova President Rev. Peter Donahue, OSA.

The honoree is chosen from a panel of selected representatives from each of AKSM Media’s brands. Nominees are recommended and then a formal voting process begins. There can be unlimited rounds of voting. The nominee with the highest amount of votes at the end of each round advances to the next round until there is only one name left.

The award is an elegant hand blown crystal sculpture with suspended unique colors sitting on a black glass base. The colors represent the blending of all of AKSM Media’s brands, members, clients and missions into one. The three crystal arms represent the three mission points of AKSM Media to innovate, to inform and to inspire. The arms are reaching towards the sky to represent the infinite amount of good one person can make in a lifetime.
