The AKSM Internship Program

We pride ourselves on providing meaningful experiences for our interns. Intern with us, and you’ll gain knowledge about the industry from the inside, while receiving hands-on experience. You’ll get the opportunity to learn and ask questions from the best in the business – who also want to learn from you. Your ideas and insights can make an impact here. We have internship opportunities available in marketing, social media, publicity, creative development, business development, finance, digital media, media research and more. All internships are for students currently enrolled in a local high school with an internship program or an accredited undergraduate or graduate program.

AKSM Photography Internships

Want to join one of the most professional media staffs in the area? Our staff is compromised of students and recent graduates who have a passion for photography and photojournalism. Each day will bring a new experience. From being on-location for a wedding to the red carpet at a movie premiere are just some of the experiences interns have had.

AKSM Photo Lab Internships

Simply put interns at AKSM Photo Lab “make cool stuff while doing cool stuff”. At AKSM Photo Lab you will learn the ins and outs of what happens to the photos after they are captured by our photographers. Get a hand-son education in the Adobe Creative suite and product production.

AKSM News Internships

For those who want to work in the fast paced world of a newsroom look no further than AKSM News’ Internship Program. Interns will get a hands on experience in what it is to work in a newsroom. From pitching a story to being published, interns will be able to do it all and leave an accomplished published junior journalist.

AKSM Film Studio Internships

Get a hands-on education in the film industry as you learn what it is like to work in for a film and television studio. The day-to-day tasks assigned to an intern will depend on the department and the projects or products currently in development. Please note that production internships are dependent on production schedules and filming locations.

AKSM Touring Internships

From being in the recording studio or at a photo shoot one day to being on the big stage the next, AKSM Touring brings interns right into the middle of the entertainment industry. From learning about what it takes to recording an album to getting a Broadway style theater production ready for curtain, interns will learn it all.

Lauren Brooks Designs Internships

In conjunction with AKSM Photo Lab comes an internship program that will allow students who want to pursue a career in marketing, design, social media, public relations and photography an outlet to create a stunning portfolio. Interns will be able to not just watch and learn but create and design their own content for LBD clients.
