MAGGIE MENGEL

Maggie Mengel is a photographer based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In her work, she photographs scenes that she feels will not only move herself but her peers as well. She finds using only the light provided is an important part of her process in shooting her subjects. Maggie loves to capture the aesthetics of nature, personality of her subjects and action in sports.

As a junior communication major at Villanova University, Maggie joined the AKSM Photography team in the fall of 2017 during her first semester at Villanova. In addition to being the Assistant Executive Director of AKSM Photography and the Director of Editing for AKSM Photo Lab, Mengel currently works as a photographer and sports editor for the Belle Air Yearbook and Photography Editor of The Villanovan.

She was also the head photographer of the Rolling Greens Country Club for the 2016 USGA Women's Amateur Golf Championship. Mengel also headed up the team of photographers for Villanova Basketball during the 2016 NCAA National Championship Tournament. Her work has won awards from the Scholastic Arts & Writing organization.
