PHILADELPHIA - In early April of 2019, it was announced that the Wayne native actor Andrew McKeough, who is known for his role on AMC's TURN: Washington's Spies, would undergo two different ear surgeries. McKeough will receive mastoidectomy and tympanoplasty surgeries on his right ear in early June of 2019. McKeough formed chronic ear problems when he was four years old and underwent surgeries in both ears to have three sets of tympanostomy tubes placed in his ears. The cause for the surgeries came when he lost his hearing in his right ear in April and his doctors determined that surgery would be the right course of action in order for him to continue living a normal life. The surgery will be performed by his otolaryngologist, Dr. Thomas Willcox at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
McKeough stated that, "I am very grateful to have such a great team and family support system that knows exactly what to do in these situations. Dr. Willcox is amazing and I have full trust in his ability to do his job with great success."
The 22 year old actor is not estranged from health problems. During his high school career he was diagnosed with Predorcial Catch Syndrome or PCS for short. In the spring of 2015, he herniated his L4 and L5 discs in his back during a trip to Orlando which forced him to cancel the rest of his summer plans after arriving home from his third european tour.
