AKSM Sports is an programming division of the news network AKSM News, owned and operated by the sports division of AKSM Media and subsidiary of AKSM Inc., that is responsible for sports broadcasts on the network, and its dedicated coverage of Villanova Athletics.

AKSM Sports has been synonymous with innovation, storytelling, iconic moments, legendary voices and our coverage of Villanova Athletics since the 2016, when it first began covering Villanova Athletics with their coverage of the Men’s Basketball 2016 National Championship journey. No student-run media company has more “firsts” than AKSM Sports. As a result of its pioneering ethos and dedicated staff, the iconic moments in AKSM Sports’ historic portfolio are overflowing and unforgettable.

Meet Our Athletic Director, Alexann Konyk (‘22)

Welcome to AKSM Sports! As Athletic Director, I take great pride in the work that we do both on and off the court, field and any other location we are at. Our team’s dedication, passion and professionalism set us apart and are the key factors that drive the work that we produce. Our team is made up of mainly students - I am a sophomore at Villanova - who work outside the classroom on their assignments for us just as hard as they do for their class assignments. Everyone who is involved in our group is a team player. At AKSM, there is no such thing as a “staff”, but rather we are all a team. We all work and strive towards the same goal and that is the perfection of our work. From travel outside of school to sleepless nights, we have all dedicated countless hours of work to perfect our passion all for a love of all things sports. We hope that by visiting this site, you can see that passion on full display. In true AKSM fashion, we are still learning, every minute of everyday and that is what fuels us! Thanks for stopping by!
