Isabela Mansour to Host 2020 AKSM Academy Awards Party
NEW YORK - AKSM Film Studios is proud to announce that actress and producer Isabela Mansour (Isla Rocha) will host the 2020 AKSM Academy Awards Party. Mansour will serve as AKSM News’ lead reporter for this year’s coverage of the Academy Awards. From the nominations to the Red Carpet to the after parties, Mansour will bring you all of the latest stories and Oscars buzz.
Mansour served as the Multimedia Producer and Designer for Riptide Pictures’ Sankofa, which won Gold at the 42nd Student Academy Awards back in October of 2019. She has served as director and producer of many other short films and runs her own YouTube channel. Mansour currently works for NBC’s The Rachel Maddow Show.
After Sankofa’s trailblazing year of awards and nominations many thought that it would be nominated for a Academy Award this year. After the nominations were announced yesterday and Sankofa did not make the cut, Mansour made a statement saying, “We're really proud of how far Sankofa has come, and we’re continuing to share our story worldwide. It's exciting to see fellow Student Oscar winner, Daria Kashcheeva, nominated in the Animation Short Film category, and we hope to see more students shining in years to come.”
Actor and AKSM CEO, Andrew McKeough, commented on the announcement of Mansour as 2020 host stating that, “Bella is a very exciting person to be around who knows more than anyone when it comes to the field of film and the arts. I congratulate Bella on this wonderful position and I cannot wait to see her knock it out of the park!”
