Statement by Andrew McKeough on Passing of Eileen Konopka
This morning my family received news that my Aunt Eileen went to be with the Lord. After a short illness she is at peace. I would like to thank all the healthcare professionals and hospice staff who cared for my aunt while on this final journey. My aunt was a very special woman who was full of inspiration. Our evenings would never be complete without a phone call from her checking in on how our days were and what we were up to. I feel as if a part of our lives has been lost. Even know she was not ill from the Coronavirus, the virus still has an impact on our loss. Due to the Coronavirus we will not be able to give her the proper burial that she deserves. During these difficult times that we are navigating, I ask you to call a family member each night and check in to see how their day was. They will appreciate it so much and will make their day. I thank you for all of your support that you have shown our family and ask that you keep us and the memory of my Aunt Eileen in your thoughts and prayers.
