Announcing the Death of Eileen Konopka

PHILADELPHIA - Eileen Konopka (nee Kubek) passed away in her sleep on the morning of March 20,2020. Mrs. Konopka was the devoted wife of the late Stas and the beloved mother of Nancy. She was the aunt of Andrew McKeough. Mrs. Konopka was a lifelong member of the St. George’s Church community in the Philadelphia neighborhood of Port Richmond. Due to the Coronavirus, funeral services and interment for Mrs. Konopka will take place on Wednesday March 25th and will be private, restricted to limited immediate family only. A public memorial Mass and gathering will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the Konopka Family prefers donations to St. George’s Independent Catholic School in Port Richmond, Philadelphia. A statement by Andrew McKeough will be mad available soon. Arrangements are being made by the Jerome J. Cassizzi Funeral Home in Northeast Philadelphia.
