Olivia Pasquale Appointed Chief White House Photojournalist

WASHINGTON - AKSM News is pleased to announce that Olivia Pasquale will join the White House Correspondents Team effective January 1, 2023 as Chief White House Photojournalist.

Pasquale has served as Senior White House Photojournalist since her appointment to the White House Division in September of 2022 and quickly showed a talent and passion for her work. Pasquale has continued to excel at her work, showing a great work ethic which was on full display as she led her team’s coverage of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s surprise visit to Washington, DC in December of 2022 as well as on numerous other assignments.

Pasquale will now take the reigns of Chief White House Photojournalist and lead the White House photojournalism team which includes six photographers.

In addition to her work at the White House, Pasquale has previously worked as the photography editor of The Villanovan and owns her own photography brand called Olivia Pasquale Photography which was established in May of 2019.

Chief White House Correspondent Emily Barkann said, "Olivia has grown immensely since joining the White House Division. She is a wonderful and talented photojournalist who has a sixth sense for where her lens needs to be at all times. She has proven time after time to capture important historical moments with grace and ease. There is no one more deserving of this promotion!"

Originally from Little Silver, New Jersey, Pasquale will graduate from Villanova University in May of 2023 in with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and minors in Spanish and Peace & Justice. In August, Pasquale will begin medical school while serving as Chief White House Photojournalist.
